Red Bull enters cycling team BORA – Hansgrohe with Baker Tilly

Baker Tilly provides Red Bull with business, tax and legal advice for the majority takeover of the BORA – hansgrohe cycling team.

Red Bull has acquired a majority stake in top cycling team BORA - hansgrohe with the support of international consulting firm Baker Tilly. The team of experts headed by the two Baker Tilly partners Uwe Roth, tax advisor, and Sven Vollstädt, attorney-at-law, supported the transaction with business, tax and legal advice. “We would like to thank the Red Bull in-house teams for their continued excellent and trusting cooperation and congratulate them on the expansion of their global sports portfolio,” commented Roth.

The UCI WorldTeam will ride in the peloton under the name “Red Bull – BORA – Hansgrohe” from the Tour de France onwards.
The transaction advice provided by the interdisciplinary Baker Tilly team covered the areas of financial, legal and tax due diligence as well as the preparation of the transaction documents, including comprehensive support during the negotiations.
