Baker Tilly hires Dr. Jörg Buschbaum, LL.M. as new partner in labor law

Labor and data privacy law expert Dr. Jörg Buschbaum, LL.M. joins Baker Tilly's Frankfurt office with his team of five attorneys.
Frankfurt am Main, August 10, 2021 - Baker Tilly continues its expansion course and strengthens its Frankfurt office with the renowned attorney Dr. Jörg Buschbaum, LL.M. Joining from the law firm Schiedermair. The 44-year-old will be accompanied by his team consisting of one counsel and three associates. At Baker Tilly, Buschbaum will expand data privacy law in addition to labor law starting on January 1, 2022. Baker Tilly recently announced the joining of real estate lawyers Dr. Hendrik Theismann and Michael Mehler. In addition to the hire of the Munich-based expert for foreign trade, customs and sustainable business, Sebastian Billig, in May, at the beginning of the year the Simon Parviz, specialist attorney for construction and architectural law and notary, also joined Baker Tilly with a total team of nine. Additionally, the stock corporation and corporate lawyer Dr. Ralf Ek. joined the Frankfurt office of Baker Tilly in December 2020. Including Dr. Buschbaum's team, there will be more than 32 lawyers at Baker Tilly's Frankfurt office and 14 in the labor law practice group.

Buschbaum began his career in March 2007 at the Frankfurt office of Gleiss Lutz, where he qualified as a specialist in labor law in 2010. From 2012 to 2015, he was responsible for expanding the labor law practice at Fried Frank's Frankfurt office before joining Schiedermair as an equity partner in January 2016. There, he expanded his team to a total of five lawyers.
Buschbaum is the author of various publications on labor and data privacy law.
