Baker Tilly recruits Bartosch Tomczyk as Head of Financial Services Tax

Baker Tilly has recruited Bartosch Tomczyk (44) as Head of Financial Services Tax.
The tax advisor and specialist consultant for international tax law worked for the private bank Berenberg, where he most recently served as Head of Product & Client Tax, and now joins Baker Tilly's Frankfurt office as a new partner. With his proven expertise in the financial sector, Tomczyk will further develop and expand Baker Tilly's Financial Services Tax with more than 30 experienced tax advisors, bankers and tax specialists. The focus will be on the increasingly complex regulatory challenges for banks, financial services providers and insurance companies and their transformation into tax consulting.
Bartosch Tomczyk holds a degree in business administration, is a tax advisor and specialist consultant for international tax law with more than 14 years of professional experience in national and international tax law for banks and companies. His main areas of expertise include income, balance sheet and VAT law, product taxation as well as tax advice for inbound structures. Before joining Berenberg bank in 2016, Tomczyk worked for eight years as a manager in the Financial Service Tax unit of Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
