Munich, October 1, 2024 – Baker Tilly has gained a new partner, Ronny Walter (48), to lead the crucial intersection between corporate law and corporate tax law. The attorney and tax advisor, who is also a specialist lawyer for commercial and corporate law, will leverage his extensive experience to expand the nationwide networking between Corporate Legal and Corporate Tax, particularly in the healthcare sector.

Walter begins his role on October 1 at Baker Tilly’s Munich office, where he previously worked from 2007 to 2012. Joining him is his longtime Senior Manager, attorney Christian Bauer (45).

In addition to advising on corporate transactions, Walter’s primary areas of focus include tax structuring and advisory services for medium-sized companies, family businesses, and healthcare enterprises.

“With Ronny Walter, we are strengthening our Legal & Tax department with a new partner whose cross-disciplinary expertise is impressive. This addresses the increasing demand for interdisciplinary advisory services at the key intersection between corporate law and corporate tax law. We are especially excited to welcome him back as a ‘Baker Tilly returnee,’ having already worked on many successful projects together,” says Dr. Thomas Gemmeke, Managing Partner Legal at Baker Tilly.

“With their dual focus on legal and tax matters, Ronny Walter and Christian Bauer are a perfect fit for our requirements and bring ideal qualifications to comprehensively support our clients in M&A transactions as well as in tax structuring and advisory services. This not only expands our advisory offering in Munich but also strengthens our holistic advisory approach nationwide,” adds Oliver Hubertus, Managing Partner Tax at Baker Tilly.
