Stefan Hanke is joining Baker Tilly from the law firm Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte and is building up a team in private construction and architectural law as well as public procurement law at Baker Tilly’s Düsseldorf office.
Effective March 1, 2023, Stefan Hanke has joined Baker Tilly as a Director. At the Düsseldorf office, the recognized specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law will focus on advising on private construction and architectural law, public procurement law and subsidy law.
The move reunites a well-established team: Stefan Hanke joins as a former partner from the law firm Leinemann Partner Rechtsanwälte mbB, just like the Frankfurt-based Baker Tilly partner Simon Parviz, who already moved with his team two years ago. “We have known each other for years and work together in a spirit of trust,” said Stefan Hanke. “The new team in Düsseldorf is completed by Timm Freiheit, already a senior manager at Baker Tilly. Timm is also a specialist lawyer for construction and architectural law, and we have known each other from our common past when we were both working at Leinemann. This is an excellent basis for the joint expansion of our specialist areas.”
With the expansion of the team, Baker Tilly is continuing the strategic development and expansion of its advisory practice in private construction law. “Besides four lawyers in our Frankfurt am Main office, the practice area now has two additional lawyers in Düsseldorf, five of whom are specialist lawyers. This will enable us to advise even more clients in the construction sector,” comments Dr. Thomas Gemmeke, Managing Partner Legal at Baker Tilly.
In addition to his professional activities, Stefan Hanke is a lecturer in construction and public procurement law at Bochum University of Applied Sciences, a speaker at conferences and training courses, the author of numerous specialist publications and a member of the German Bar Association’s Working Group for Construction and Real Estate Law (ARGE Bau- und Immobilienrecht). His industry focus is on construction, real estate, public tenders as well as public grant providers and recipients.
