Düsseldorf, February 25, 2025 – Braunschweig-based Wandt Spedition Transportberatung GmbH is continuing its restructuring course in (provisional) debtor-in-possession management with the help of the international consulting and auditing firm Baker Tilly and CONFER-SI. The Braunschweig Local Court granted a corresponding application on February 25, 2025 and ordered provisional debtor-in-possession management. The wages and salaries of around 140 employees are secured during the proceedings.

A team headed by attorney-at-law and Baker Tilly partner Dr. Adrian Bölingen is representing Wandt during the proceedings with comprehensive insolvency law advice. Together with management consultants CONFER-SI, the logistics company has already identified and partially initiated measures to adapt its business model and reduce costs in recent weeks.

“We are now taking the opportunity to reposition Wandt in the course of debtor-in-possession management in order to be able to exploit the great potential of the logistics market,” says Managing Director Aline Wandt. “We are also confident that we will succeed in restructuring our company through our own efforts.”

“Debtor-in-possession management offers the Braunschweig-based family business the appropriate legal framework to continue the restructuring process it has begun,” says Dr. Adrian Bölingen. “Together with the managing directors, Aline and Anthony Wandt, we are working flat out to successfully lead the company out of debtor-in-possession management and ensure its long-term survival,” adds Markus Langguth, Managing Director of CONFER-SI.

Wandt Spedition Transportberatung GmbH, based in Braunschweig, offers services in the areas of transportation, logistics and commercial vehicle washing and also rents out a petrol station. The family business, which celebrated its 85th anniversary last year, currently employs 134 people and has come under financial pressure due to a drop in sales of major customers and the general economic situation. It is now continuing the restructuring process it has begun under debtor-in-possession management.

The competent local court ordered provisional debtor-in-possession management on February 25, 2025. The Braunschweig-based attorney Torsten Gutmann from the renowned insolvency administration law firm PLUTA was appointed as provisional trustee.
